Patient 7 - "Painful wrist swelling"

This patient is a 39-year-old, right-handed, businesswoman who is complaining of joint swelling in her right wrist. She also has some pain in the left wrist intermittently. She notices that her wrists are especially stiff in the morning. She has not had a definite injury to either wrist. She rates the pain on occassion as 7 out of 10. The pain is occurring more frequently and seems to be getting worse. She has not seen a physician.
